The Jewish Bar Association of Georgia
Welcome to the Jewish Bar Association of Georgia “J-BAR” website. J-BAR was the creation of Judge Stacey Hydrick, Judge Jay Roth, Attorney Darren Tobin, and Attorney Mike Roth. They had been talking informally for months preceding October 7, 2023, about the need for Jewish attorneys and judges to have a safe place to discuss issues relevant to the Jewish legal community. And after the atrocities of October 7, 2023, they knew they needed to take action. Over 100 people attended the first J-Bar informational meeting. That initial group of 100 has expanded to over 300 members.
J-BAR is registered as a 501(c)(6) entity with the IRS.
Membership is open to anyone regardless of their religious affiliation, ethnicity, race, or sexual orientation.
J-Bar Foundation
We have also established the J-BAR Foundation, a 501(c)(3), for the purpose of facilitating J-BAR’s charitable and educational events. Note that dues cannot be paid to the Foundation.
