METHODS OF COMMUNICATION AND RELATED POLICIES:

We have two main methods of communicating with our membership:  First, an email newsletter sent out through Constant Contact, and second, a listserve.

  1. Email Newsletter through Constant Contact:

this method of communication was designed to advise members of upcoming events, activities, and other important information.  It is currently managed by Vice President of Operations, Stacey Hydrick.  If you have any information you would like sent out in the newsletter, please contact Stacey at staceyhydrick@mac.com.

If you are not receiving the Constant Contact emails and would like to, please check your spam and/or junk folders to make sure these emails are not being blocked by your email provider.

  1. Listserve:

the list serve is moderated by Sharon Zinns (sharon@zinnslaw.com).  Please contact Sharon if you want to subscribe or unsubscribe.

LISTSERVE ETIQUETTE:

Anyone who is subscribed to the listserve can post.  Note that all posts are automatically sent to all listserve subscribers.  Please limit messages to topics or events related to JBAR or that may be of concern or benefit to the Jewish legal community at large.

Please reply only to the individual who posted the original message.  We ask that you not use “Reply All,” as that will send a reply to the entire listserve.  Please reserve the use of “Reply All” for only those situations when you are providing information you want everyone to see and NOT to say “me too,” or “I agree.”

If you have a conflict with an individual member or a specific post, please send your comments to that individual directly via a private e-mail and not to the listserve.  The listserve is designed to be a means of providing information.  It is not intended to be used to be divisive or cause disagreement among the members of J-BAR.

Above all, please be kind and do not be critical of other members’ postings. Remember that we are here to learn, share, and grow with the assistance of the listserve.

If you disagree with the relevance/usefulness of posted information, please do not send a complaint to the entire listserve. Instead, please send an e-mail message to the Moderator.  Of course, you may unsubscribe at any time by sending your request to the Moderator.
